How to Clean a Bathroom Mirror Without Streaks

A spotless mirror makes a bathroom feel fresh, but streaks can ruin the effect. The good news is that avoiding streaks comes down to the right cleaner and the right technique.

The Right Cleaning Solution

Use a glass cleaner or a simple mix of water and white vinegar. Avoid products that contain oils or heavy soaps, which leave residue. 

The Right Cloth

Always use a microfiber cloth. Paper towels can leave lint, and cotton rags may smear the cleaner instead of removing it. 

The Technique

1. Spray cleaner lightly onto the cloth, not directly onto the mirror.

2. Wipe in an S-pattern across the surface.

3. Flip the cloth to a dry side and buff the mirror.

Frame Care

If your mirror has a frame, avoid spraying directly near the edges to prevent moisture from pooling between the glass and the frame. A gentle cleaner, a microfiber cloth, and a steady hand are all it takes to keep your mirror sparkling without streaks.
